We are moving to using more landscape fabric. Is there any concern about the black fabric trapping too much heat and having an effect on plants? Especially tomato plants?
Hi Emily! We are checking with the SFU Facebook group for their thoughts so definitely join us over there if you'd like some more answers. Michael recommended to cut out holes so it's not touching the plants at all. He also recommended adding a product called Surround Kaolin clay to protect the plants from insects. It is white and can be spread around the plants and on the fabric which helps some with heat.
