Growing Green Family Farms is a 3 acre farm owned and operated by Nathan Vannette and Chris Ostlund. We specialize in growing produce year-round in Upstate, South Carolina without the use of any pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides. Instead, we focus on intensive intercropping of different plant species to bring both additional biodiversity to the micro-climates around our farm but also decrease the spread of pests and diseases. We use a no-till growing method utilizing either local organic compost or on farm compost to boost fertility along with other organic amendments. We sell to 20+ restaurants, operate a CSA program, participate in 2 physical farmers markets and 2 online markets, and sell through 2 local distributors.
